Summer Program 2022
We are happy to announce that this summer will be a eight-week session: June 6 – July 29, 2022. Special plans are being made for the students. Offerings include:
- Farm-to-Fork Culinary Arts visiting farms besides our own organic farm.
- Beginning Drivers Ed with carts and Drivers Ed with cars.
- Work Skills Vocational Training in Culinary Arts Cafe each Friday. (Yes! It’s back and we want parents to visit!) Food Safety Certification.
- A Breaking Barriers TAP internship with the California Conservation Corps
- A Breaking Barriers TAP Culinary Arts Internship
- Beginning Watercolor and Acrylic Painting classes
- Women’s Health and Men’s Health classes
- Work Skills Vocational Training at Effie Yeaw Nature Center.
- Work Skills Vocational Training at Mission Oaks.
- Group hikes at the American River Parkway.
- Herbal Arts & Garden/Land Management collaboration building a new herb garden on campus.
- Circus Arts includes one-week of leadership as students help teach young children at a summer camp.
- Culinary Arts jam making and preserves.
- Plus the other offerings found on campus in woodworking, ceramics, herbal arts, movement, music, dance, work skills/job readiness, baking, textiles, gardening, facilities, landscaping, self-leadership and self-defense.
Independent Living Program $13,200
Includes Day Program classes, single-room dorm occupancy, Independent Living instruction and support, and a budget of $450 per month for food and Meristem-approved social events. There is a $500 Dorm Deposit (refundable).
Day Program $9,000
Includes Day Program classes, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
Regional Center funds are available for qualifying clients.
